Toledo-area Officials Raise Awareness of Mosquito Development After Flooding

Officials in the Toledo area are warning that the historic flooding in eastern Lucas County is creating ideal conditions for mosquitoes to develop. That’s because some standing water may remain for days or weeks. The Toledo Area Sanitary District says field crews are monitoring flooded areas, especially Jerusalem Township. You can also help reduce mosquito populations around your home by dumping or draining any standing water.
