Thousands to Participate in Mackinac Bridge Walk Labor Day Weekend

Tens of thousands of people will be heading to the Mackinac Bridge in northern Michigan for the 2026 Mackinac Bridge Walk over Labor Day weekend. The state says final preparations are underway for the annual walk. It starts in both Mackinaw City and St. Ignace and allows people to either walk to the middle of the bridge, turn around, and come back, or walk the entire length of the bridge.
