The Salvation Army of Greater Toledo to Open Christmas Assistance Registration in November

To help families in need in Toledo, The Salvation Army of Greater Toledo will open registration for its Christmas assistance program in the coming weeks. Toys are provided for children up to the age of 12 while children older than 12 can receive food assistance. Applications must be made in person at The Salvation Army, 620 North Erie Street in Toledo November 4-7, 10, and 12-14 from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Required documents include the following:

  • A government issued photo I.D.
  • A birth certificate for each child 12 years and younger in their household. A printout from JFS will be accepted. Guardian papers, if applicable.
  • Proof of all other household members.
  • Proof of address.
