Steuben Co. Sheriff's Office Warns of Phone Scam

Beware of a telephone scam going around Steuben County where a scammer is pretending to be from the Steuben County Jail or Sheriff’s Office. The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office says the caller then claims that an inmate’s bond needs to be paid through Zelle, Amazon gift cards, or some other form of electronic payment.
