Response to Homeless Resource Center in Fort Wayne

Hundreds of Fort Wayne residents submitted questions and comments about a proposal to open a resource center for homeless people. The online submissions show that citizens are most concerned about the proposed location at 333 E. Washington Blvd. Numerous residents said they worry that the site would attract more homeless people to downtown.  Officials say that about half of the responses were positive and half were in opposition to the resource center opening in the proposed location near the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
