Proposed Quarry Back in the News06/04/2026The proposed quarry in Allen County is back in the news. An attorney working with the Heritage Group has contacted the department of planning services in an email questioning the authority of county officials in restricting quarry operations on the property. Josh Neal with Barret McNagny represents US Aggregates…he says the developer doesn't acknowledge the Board of Zoning Appeals' authority. Neal claims state statute allows the quarry project to go forward without the board's approval. The county has not responded as of Wednesday.
