Oregon, Ohio Officials Investigate Reported Chemical Odor After Service Calls, Medical Evaluations

Officials in Oregon, Ohio investigated reports of a chemical odor after 13 service calls yesterday. Nine people were evaluated for showing symptoms. The smell was reported yesterday morning in an eastern area between Pickle Road and York Street. Firefighters and the Ohio EPA detected a faint chemical smell but no hazardous levels were found on gas monitors. Officials said there’s no immediate threat to the public, but to call 911 if you experience severe symptoms.
