OhioHealth Van Wert Hospital to Start Weapons-Free Screening Aug. 307/22/2026OhioHealth Van Wert Hospital has announced plans to implement weapons-free screening at designated public entrances. It’s part of a statewide effort to support a safe, secure environment across OhioHealth care sites. Starting August 3rd, the hospital will have metal detectors and bag and purse checks with a process to minimize delays. Entry will also be allowed through Doors 1 and 2 only.
