Ohio, Michigan to Raise Minimum Wages Jan. 1

The minimum wages in Ohio and Michigan will be going up in 2026 based on requirements under the law. In Ohio, the minimum wage will increase to $11 per hour for non-tipped employees and to $5.50 per hour for tipped employees. In Michigan, the minimum wage for non-tipped employees will go up to $13.73 per hour and to $5.49 per hour for tipped employees. The increases are effective starting January 1st.
