Ohio EPA Testing Water in Village of Luckey After Toledo Blade Report05/08/2025Water testing is being conducted by the Ohio EPA in Luckey, Ohio after a report from the Toledo Blade that the village’s water contains high radioactivity levels. Luckey has a site that was once a Cold War-era weapons plant that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has been cleaning up. The situation has led to concerns from residents, and the EPA has taken samples from nine different sites out of an abundance of caution. EPA officials say previous testing was normal, but the report deserves a follow-up. Test results are expected in about a month.
