NIPSCO Reminds Everyone to Use 811 Before They Dig

Tuesday was National 8-1-1 Day…NIPSCO recognized the day by reminding homeowners and contractors to always call 8-1-1 before starting any digging project.  Contacting 8-1-1 at least two business days before digging connects customers with Indiana’s one-call system so utilities can mark underground lines at no cost.  Projects such as planting trees, installing mailboxes or building decks can pose risks if underground utilities are not identified. The request can be submitted though Indiana811.org or NIPSCO.com/811.org
