Nigerian Christian, Muslim Leaders Sign Peace Accord Amid Christian Persecution

As Christians continue facing persecution in Nigeria, more than 50 Christian and Muslim leaders in the country have signed an interfaith peace accord. That’s according to the organization International Christian Concern. The agreement is aimed at reducing religious tensions and establishes a new body intended to promote cooperation between Christian and Muslim leaders. ICC says the agreement is welcomed but should not be seen as a solution to Nigeria’s longstanding religious freedom challenges.
