New Sea Lion Arrives at Fort Wayne Zoo

There is new resident at the Fort Wayne Zoo.  A female California sea lion named Quinty arrived at the zoo Tuesday morning.  She came form an AZA accredited facility in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.  Zoo goers can see her at the zoo’s Coastal Cove area after she completes her mandatory quarantine time behind the scenes.  This period allows the Animal Care Team to get to know Quinty in a low-stress environment and is the first step in ensuring the sea lion thrives at the Fort Wayne Zoo.
