New Law in Michigan Will Ban Students From Using Cell Phones in Class

Students in Michigan will be banned from using their cellphone in class after Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed legislation into law. The new law prevents students from using a wireless communication device during instructional time. There will be exceptions for medical purposes, emergencies, and other devices designated for instructional purposes. The law will take effect in the fall.
