New Baby Giraffe at Fort Wayne Zoo

A new arrival at the Fort Wayne Zoo. A 6-foot-tall male reticulated giraffe was born on Monday.  Weighing in at 196 pounds, the baby giraffe was born to 12-year-old Fay. The new giraffe is the 22nd one to be born at the zoo. The mom and staff have been attentive to his care.  The Fort Wayne Zoo is now home to a herd of seven reticulated giraffe, five females and two males. The baby’s name will be unveiled later.
