Michigan WIC Switching to Enfamil Formula in November

Changes are on the way for what infant formula can be purchased under the Michigan WIC program. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services announced that WIC formula benefits will transition from Abbott Similac products to nutritionally similar Mead Johnson Enfamil products. Mead Johnson infant formulas available through the WIC contract include:

  • Enfamil Infant. 
  • Enfamil ProSobee. 
  • Enfamil Gentlease. 
  • Enfamil AR. 
  • Enfamil Reguline. 

It comes after MDHHS awarded Mead Johnson a five-year contract that begins November 1st. Michigan WIC’s contract with Abbott will remain in effect until October 31st.
