Michigan Red, White & Blue License Plate Back12/12/2025Michigan’s beloved red, white, and blue license plate is making a comeback in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson said the new license plate design is a modern take on the original 1976 bicentennial plate. The plate includes elements of the American flag with bold patriotic colors, stars and stripes. The new license plate can be ordered through the Secretary of State’s office starting January 2nd and will cost a one-time fee of $55
