Michigan Offering Boater Safety Education Courses03/07/2025Some boater safety education classes in Michigan will be held at locations in Lenawee and Monroe counties. The courses are eight hours and include a variety of topics like general boating and water safety, navigational rules, causes and prevention of crashes, operation and fueling techniques, environmental concerns and reporting responsibility. Michigan law requires motorized boat and personal watercraft operators born after varying dates to complete boater education and carry a boater safety certificate with them.
