McDonald's Faces Lawsuit Over Alleged False Advertising of the McRib

The seasonal McRib sandwich at McDonald’s is at the center of a class-action lawsuit claiming that its name is a form of false advertising. The lawsuit alleges that McDonald’s has misled customers by suggesting the sandwich contains pork rib meat and is pressed into a distinctive shape. The complaint claims that the McRib contains ground-up portions of other types of pork. In response, McDonald’s said the lawsuit distorts the facts, has inaccurate claims, and the McRib doesn’t use other pork parts, but is 100% boneless pork.
