Maumee, Ohio Mayor Jim MacDonald Announces Retirement Effective Dec. 1

The mayor of Maumee, Ohio, Mayor Jim MacDonald, has announced his retirement from public service. His resignation will be effective December 1st with his last day as mayor being November 30th. MacDonald said he feels his time of service to the city has come to a close and that he met and exceled at the goals he listed when he became mayor in 2024. It’s not yet clear who will become mayor after MacDonald retires.
