Lucas County Commissioner Says No Data Center08/13/2026A Lucas County Commissioner is addressing concerns about development in the county. Pete Gerken says a 150-acre industrial property being annexed into Waterville will not be a data center. The Farnsworth Business Park, being developed by the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority, is not a megasite and will be marketed to house multiple small industrial businesses. The property is located on Neapolis Waterville Road. City officials are also expected to request a zoning change to designate the business park as a community reinvestment area, which provides tax incentives to property owners.
