Little Progress in Talks Between UAW and Carmakers

There have been no signs of a breakthrough as of Monday that might end the auto workers’ strike even as the potential looms for layoffs. In Toledo, workers at the Jeep suppliers Kuka and Mobis are set to strike along with other workers at the Stellantis plant. United Auto Workers President Shawn Fain said more factories could be targeted if substantial progress is not made by Friday at noon.
