Lilly Helping Local Youth Camps

Nearly $18 million will be going to residential youth camps in northeast Indiana, thanks to the latest round of capital grants from the Lilly Endowment Inc.  Six grants approved for Fort Wayne-area organizations include $5 million for the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne and $900,000 Camp Lutherhaven in Albion. The Lilly Endowment said 40 new grants, totaling $155 million, will help camps in 29 Indiana counties provide high-quality programming and experiences. Some of the camps will also benefit from phase three grants.
