Lettuce Safe to Eat

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says Michigan residents can resume routine guidance for eating lettuce and salad greens. It comes in response to a decline in new cases of cyclosporiasis (sy-kloh-spor-eye-uh-sis). According to health officials, the data shows that most exposures happened in late June to early July, and the majority of contaminated produce is likely no longer available for consumption.
