Indy Health Facility to Pay Fine to Fort Wayne

An Indianapolis area health facility is paying up for violating a new Fort Wayne ordinance.  City spokesman John Perlich says Hendricks Behavioral Health has agreed to pay Fort Wayne $2,500 to settle two citations for violating the city's homeless relocation ordinance. Fort Wayne's homeless relocation ordinance prohibits organizations from transporting transient individuals into the city unless one of several exceptions applies, including advance acceptance by a shelter or service provider.  After reaching the out-of-court settlement, local officials withdrew formal citations filed in court.
