Indiana State Police to Look for Speeding, Distracted Drivers in Traffic Campaign03/31/2025While you’re driving, make sure you watch your speed and do not drive distracted. Not only are those the right things to do, but the Indiana State Police will participate in a traffic safety campaign from April 5-19 looking for people speeding or driving distracted. Police say speeding and distracted driving caused over 17,000 crashes in Indiana in 2024, leading to 230 fatalities. Violating Indiana’s hands-free law carries a $500 fine and results in points being added to your license.
