Indiana Senate Bill 1 for Property Tax Relief Headed to Gov. Braun's Desk

The proposed property tax relief bill in Indiana, Senate Bill 1, is heading to Governor Mike Braun’s desk after the Senate agreed with the House on changes made to the bill. If passed, the bill would allow Hoosiers to save up to $300 on average per household starting in 2026. However, the bill has faced concerns from school districts and local governments over how property tax reductions could affect their funding.
