Indiana lawmaker who opposed Trump's redistricting push is victim of a swatting11/17/2025(Associated Press) - An Indiana lawmaker who resisted President Donald Trump’s push to have Republicans redraw the state’s congressional boundaries was the victim of a swatting call that brought sheriff’s deputies to his home. The Vigo County Sheriff's Office says deputies were sent to the home of state Sen. Greg Goode on Sunday after they received an email “advising harm had been done to persons inside." Officials say the call was a prank. Earlier Sunday, President Donald Trump criticized Goode and Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray for opposing a redistricting plan for Indiana. Trump wants Republican-controlled states to aggressively redraw their congressional boundaries to help the GOP maintain control of the U.S. House next year.
