Indiana Drops SUN Bucks Program for 202505/09/2025A program in Indiana that helps qualifying children receive $120 per month for food over the summer while schools are closed is no longer happening. The Indiana Capital Chronicle reports that Indiana SUN Bucks will not be happening this summer with Indiana opting out of the program after just one year. The state has not yet said why it withdrew from the program. Students in low-income areas statewide can still get free summer meals through the USDA’s Summer Food Service Program.
