Indiana BMV Addresses Myths About Blackout License Plate Design and ALPRs

The Indiana BMV is debunking myths about its Blackout license plate design being read more easily by automated license plate recognition cameras. The BMV said ALPRs can read the Blackout plate with the same efficiency and accuracy as any other plate on the road. The Indiana State Police also said the color and design has no impact on an ALPR system’s ability to read it.
