IN Gov. Braun Declares New Energy Emergency to Continue Gas Tax Holiday08/06/2026If you live or work in Indiana, you’ll continue to receive savings at the gas pump. Governor Mike Braun declared a new statewide energy emergency and reinstituted the suspension of Indiana’s gas taxes. The new energy emergency will take effect Friday, August 7th after the current one expires Thursday. Gas taxes will again be suspended through September 5th across Indiana.
