IN Gov. Braun Announces Proposed $200 Million Childcare Expansion04/15/2026An investment of $200 million to expand affordable childcare and reduce waitlists has been announced by Indiana Governor Mike Braun. If approved by the State Budget Committee, the funding would expand access to Child Care and Development Fund vouchers. Enrollment of siblings of current voucher holders, infants, toddlers, and 3- through 5-year-olds would be prioritized.
