ICC: Persecuted Christians in Foreign Nations Face New Restrictions Coming to the U.S.06/10/2025Some concerns about persecuted Christians who live in the countries now banned from traveling to the U.S. are being raised by the organization International Christian Concern. Out of the 12 countries, ICC says four are designated by the U.S. Department of State as Countries of Particular Concern for severe violations of religious freedom. The Trump administration maintains that the travel ban is for broad national security concerns, like deficient screening and visa overstays. While the ban contains some exemptions, it does have an exception for ethnic and religious minorities facing persecution.
