Hanjung America Breaks Ground on First U.S. Facility in Huntington

The South Korean-based company Hanjung broke ground on its first American manufacturing facility in Huntington. Hanjung America’s facility will produce energy storage components for Stellantis and Samsung SDI’s electric vehicle battery manufacturing operations. The facility expects to begin operations in June 2027, creating more than 300 jobs initially and paying more than $28 per hour. Click here to read the City of Huntington's full announcement.
