Goodwill Industries of Northeast Indiana Gets AEDs03/31/2026Goodwill Industries of Northeast Indiana in collaboration with the American Heart Association is putting AED units in all of its 9 retail locations. The local nonprofit is working to be proactive in the community by having the lifesaving equipment in case it is needed and all staff will be trained in CPR and how to use the automated external defibrillators. Local emergency services have been notified of the AED placements which will allow the devices to serve Goodwill locations as well as neighboring businesses. Officials say this initiative reflects Goodwill’s broader mission to serve as more than a retail thrift operator.
