Fort Wayne to Take Down Flock Cameras After Mayor Tucker, FWPD Talks

Flock license plate reader cameras in Fort Wayne will be coming down. The decision comes after a conversation between Mayor Sharon Tucker and the Fort Wayne Police Department about the public’s concerns. City Council this week unanimously voted to not renew a $120,000 contract with Flock. On the other hand, the FWPD said it’s considering what to do next, whether it lowers Flock spending or risks financial penalties over grant funding.
