Fort Wayne International Airport Expansion Complete

A seven year, $145-million expansion and modernization of Fort Wayne International Airport is complete. Local officials celebrated the project Thursday, which began in 2019. It was divided into west and east terminal expansions and was launched following 10 consecutive years of passenger growth. The west terminal project added about 45,000 square feet and renovated about 47,000 square feet of existing space. Passengers will benefit from an expanded TSA security checkpoint, additional restrooms and mother’s rooms, plus a new baggage handling system.
