Fort Wayne City Council Unanimously Votes to Not Renew Flock Contract

In a major decision for Flock license plate reader cameras, Fort Wayne City Council voted unanimously last night to not renew the contract with Flock. It was a $120,000 contract that allowed the Fort Wayne Police Department to use the cameras, which have received significant public concerns about privacy. The FWPD said in a statement after the vote that it will respect council’s decision and determine an appropriate path going forward.
