Fort Wayne City Council Says No to New Gas Station

The Fort Wayne City Council is saying no to a gas station and convenience store next to a subdivision off Coldwater Road.  The proposed Quik Trip convenience store requires the land on Elderberry Drive to be rezoned to general commercial, allowing a wide variety of businesses. Council members feel the presence of a gas station would prevent acreage nearby from being developed. The council voted 8-0 to stop the project on an initial vote.  The final vote will likely be this next Tuesday.
