Fort Wayne City Council Delays Discussion to September on Shelter

Fort Wayne City Council members are waiting to decide on a $2.75 million funding request for a downtown homeless resource center, despite requests from Mayor Sharon Tucker and some council members to revisit it this week. City Council members on Tuesday voted 3-5, which stopped the motion from being discussed at last night’s meeting. Republican councilmen, who hold the majority, said questions about the city's plan for the center remain unanswered.  The issue will be back before the council on September 1st.
