End to Seasonal Time changes Possible

The end of changing your clocks in November, then changing them back in March, may be near. If it happens, local sunrises and sunsets would look very different this winter. The bipartisan Sunshine Protection Act is moving through Congress and would make Daylight Saving Time permanent, meaning we would no longer "spring forward" and "fall back" every year if it ultimately becomes law. The bill has already cleared a key House committee and is expected to receive a vote in the U.S. House. If approved there, it would still need to pass the Senate and be signed by President Trump before taking effect.
