Dr. Anthony Fauci to Face Contempt of Congress Vote After Invoking the Fifth Amendment

Dr. Anthony Fauci will face a contempt of Congress vote in a Senate committee next week after repeatedly invoking the Fifth Amendment in hearing about his handling of the pandemic. In yesterday’s contentious hearing, Fauci declined to answer dozens of questions from senators. Fauci was subpoenaed by Senator Rand Paul, who released portions of Fauci’s diary from 2020 leading up to the hearing and led the effort to have him testify again.
