Dad's Place Church Pastor in Court for Trial

The trial of Pastor Chris Avell of Dad’s Place Church in Bryan, Ohio began yesterday in Bryan Municipal Court. Avell faces charges related to a lengthy and ongoing dispute with city officials over Bryan’s zoning and fire codes and housing the homeless at the church. Both sides’ lawyers have until December 13th to submit written final arguments rather than delivering closing arguments. Judge Kent North did not indicate when he would decide the case.
