Congress Votes Overwhelmingly to Force Release of Epstein Files

Both the House and Senate acted decisively yesterday with bipartisan support to pass a bill to force the Justice Department to publicly release the Epstein files. President Trump in recent days reversed his stance, saying he would sign the bill after dismissing demands to release the files. The bill forces the release of the files within 30 days. It would allow the Justice Department to redact information about victims or continuing federal investigations, but not information due to “embarrassment, reputational harm, or political sensitivity.”
