Clean Drains Fort Wayne Art Starts This Weekend08/12/2026Local artists will begin work this weekend on Fort Wayne sidewalk murals to raise awareness about what washes down the city's storm drains. Sixteen artists have been selected for the sixth edition of Clean Drains Fort Wayne: Be River SmART. Clean Drains Fort Wayne is a project of City Utilities and Downtown Fort Wayne's Art This Way public art program. Art This Way manager Alexandra Hall said having installations happening during Open Streets brings awareness to the project's mission. Work on the public art pieces will begin Saturday and continue through Aug. 23.
