City of Toledo's Free Christmas Tree Recycling Program Now Open

With the holiday season coming to a close, you have several chances to recycle your Christmas tree if you live in Toledo. The City’s free recycling program runs from today through January 31, 2025, offering a way to dispose of trees by processing them into mulch and compost. Trees should be cleared of all decorations, bags, or other materials. You can recycle your Christmas tree for free at any of these six Toledo park locations:
  • Jermain Park– 1720 S. Cove Blvd.
  • Ravine II Park– 1699 S. Ravine Pkwy.
  • Byrne Park– 2201 Byrne Rd.
  • Detwiler Park– 3775 E. Manhattan Blvd.
  • Bowman Park– 1955 W Laskey Road.
  • Highland Park– 1965 Finch St.

Drop off locations will be clearly marked at each location. Trees should be clear of all lights, decorations, bags, or any other materials. City Forestry crews will mulch the trees for later use.
