Ceasefire Agreement for Lebanon

The US State Department says that the United States has brokered a major ceasefire breakthrough between Israel and Lebanon. The agreement was reached during a trilateral meeting said in a joint statement. Officials said the deal is currently conditional, requiring the Iran-backed, Lebanon-based terrorist group Hezbollah to cease all attacks, withdraw its fighters from southern Lebanon's South Litani Sector, and prevent the re-emergence of non-state armed groups
