Canadian Wildfire Smoke Prompts Air Quality Action Day Monday for Northern, Central Indiana

An Air Quality Action Day has been issued for Monday, July 20th by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management due to Canadian wildfire smoke. Fine particulate matter levels are forecast to be in the red “unhealthy” range for northern Indiana, and the orange “unhealthy for sensitive groups” range in central Indiana. The National Weather Service recommends avoiding or limiting outdoor exposure, heavy work, and keeping windows and doors closed as much as possible.
