Book Drive for FWCS' Study Connection Program to Help Focus on Early Literacy

A book drive is being hosted until April 30th to support Fort Wayne Community Schools’ Study Connection program. The district says the book drive supports focus on early literacy at FWCS. Books collected will help students build home libraries and encourage a reading habit beyond the classroom. New and gently used books can be dropped off until April 30th at the following locations:

  • Summit City Climbing Co., 1331 E. Berry St.

  • Indiana Wesleyan University, 8211 W. Jefferson Blvd.
  • Wendy Y. Robinson Family and Community Engagement Center, 230 E.
    Douglas Ave.
Study Connection pairs community volunteers one-to-one with students identified by their teachers as needing additional academic support. Pairs meet for one hour each week during the school year, building reading skills through extra practice, mentorship and family engagement.
