Billionaire Couple Pledges $6.5 Billion to "Trump Accounts" for Children

A historic $6.5 billion was pledged yesterday by billionaires Michael and Susan Dell to provide an incentive on so-called “Trump accounts” for children. The accounts were created as part of President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act but have not launched yet. The accounts include an initial $1,000 being deposited for children born between the start of 2025 and the end of 2028. The Dells’ donation will deposit $250 into the accounts for at least 25 million children under the age of 10 who would not otherwise receive the $1,000 and live in ZIP codes with median incomes of $150,000 or less.
